Looking for a rise

A fast-growing nationwide consignment company is once again accelerating its expansion — this time with a sharper focus on digital operations, inspection standards, and a fully managed seller-to-buyer experience.

OakBend Marina Evolvere , a U.S.-based consignment and remarketing service specializing in boats, RVs, vehicles, trailers, and industrial or agricultural equipment, has secured a new $5 million growth investment , the largest capital infusion in its history.

Co-founder David Brennen said the company will use the funding to expand its network of inspection hubs, partner storage locations, and shipping corridors in key markets across the country.

“We’ve reached the stage where our operational model — online listings, appointment-only inspections, unified shipping logistics, and secure payments — can be scaled with confidence,” Brennen said. “We’re actively onboarding new partner locations across the East Coast, the Midwest, and key Southern markets.”

OakBend Marina Evolvere provides a streamlined way for private owners to sell boats, RVs, vehicles, trailers, industrial machinery, and farm equipment without managing marketing, buyer screening, or negotiations themselves.

Instead of relying on low dealer trade-in values or time-consuming “for sale by owner” listings, sellers work with OakBend Marina Evolvere’s fully managed consignment process . The company coordinates appointment-only inspections, verifies condition and documentation, captures professional photos, and prepares listings designed to perform well across major online marketplaces and its own platform.

OakBend Marina Evolvere then handles buyer inquiries, showing coordination, virtual walk-throughs when appropriate, and nationwide shipping logistics . When a deal is reached, funds are processed through a secure, escrow-style flow that protects both buyer and seller. Commission is based on a transparent, tiered structure tied to item category and sale price.

Over time, the company has sold everything from modest utility trailers and small boats to high-value RVs and heavy equipment for commercial users, with many private sellers choosing OakBend as a safer, more efficient alternative to handling the sale alone.

The latest $5 million round brings total capital raised to roughly $7 million since the company’s founding and includes investors with experience in multi-site expansion, logistics, and specialty equipment sales. The added resources will support new inspection hubs and partner storage locations in target regions such as:

  • Virginia: Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville
  • North Carolina: Raleigh and Charlotte
  • Mid-Atlantic: Maryland and surrounding markets
  • Georgia: Greater Atlanta region
OakBend Marina Evolvere partner facilities

Today, OakBend Marina Evolvere’s combined network can support hundreds of units at a time across its core hubs and partner facilities. According to Brennen, more than 90% of items that enter the program ultimately sell, with many listings going under contract within about 15 days , depending on category and price point.

What began as a solution for private owners has also attracted fleet and commercial clients — including rental fleets, construction and industrial firms, marine and RV dealers, and municipal sellers looking to liquidate surplus units through a managed, transparent process.

“We didn’t originally design this around fleet and institutional sellers,” Brennen said. “But once they saw that we could handle inspections, marketing, buyer vetting, paperwork, and logistics in one place, it became a natural extension of what we do.”

As OakBend Marina Evolvere executes its two-year growth plan, the team sees several ongoing challenges: securing the right appointment-only space in each market, recruiting experienced inspectors and logistics coordinators, and building buyer and seller awareness as the brand enters new regions.

Even so, Brennen believes the fundamentals are strong. “There is clear demand for a trusted, fully managed way to sell boats, RVs, vehicles, trailers, and equipment — especially when transactions cross state lines and involve shipping,” he said. “Our focus now is on scaling carefully, while maintaining the verification, safety, and communication standards that our sellers and buyers expect.”

“When the right opportunity comes up in a high-demand region — whether that’s Atlanta, Charlotte, Baltimore, or another corridor — we want to be ready to plug our existing model in and start serving that market quickly,” he added.
